What is City Art Photography? 

City Art Photography is a fun and unique way to celebrate a person's first or last name, express yourself or show pride in your hometown or state.

The creative process involves shooting original photographs of interesting letters found within a city or town.  Some of the photographs may be of actual letters and others may be of objects that form abstract letters.  The photographs are all in color and are then thoughtfully put together to create names of people and places or any word/phrase that has meaning to you.  The end product is an interesting, unique piece of artwork that is personalized for you.

Photographs come in three sizes to choose from: 4x6, 5x7 or 8x10.  Each photograph is individually framed and mounted onto a small strip of black wood.  The 5x7 and 8x10 sizes are also available unattached to the wood so that each letter is hung separately, with space in between, which leaves you room for creativity in the way you hang the piece...horizontally, vertically, etc.  For shorter words (5 letters or fewer), I highly recommend the 5x7 or 8x10 sizes.  For words with 6 or 7 letters, I recommend either 5x7 or 4x6 in size.  For anything with 8 or more letters, I would go with the 4x6 size, unless you're really going for dramatic.  For the size of the final piece of artwork, please see the sizes page.

For every piece sold using 8x10 photographs, 10% of the total price of the piece will be donated to charity.  Each month, the charity that I donate to will change.  Please see the "Charitable Donations" page to find out this month's charity.  Also, if there is a charity that is particularly close to your heart, please feel free to email me and submit it for consideration as my charity of choice for an upcoming month.

Each city/state name in my collection uses only photographs taken within that city/state.
