Mindy Martinsen grew up in Monrovia, CA and has lived all over Southern California, as well as in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Chicago.  Before getting into art photography, she was an English major at UCLA and has taught high school and middle school English for several years.  An avid reader and writer, she has always had a love for words as well as a love for travel.  Her art photography, in a way, combines those two things.  She is a working tourist, going around to different cities, photographing all the interesting, popular spots and then creating aesthetically appealing words out of the photographs.

Back in the LA area after having been away for about 5 years, she has enjoyed becoming reacquainted with Southern California and using it as a canvas for her photographic art.  Her goal is to continue to shoot more and more cities until she has crossed the globe completely!
